Times and Organization

 Times

Currently, there has been three video shooting campaings in Russia.

In November 2003 there was an additional shooting coverage that took place in Italy as well as in Russia.  The theme:  the Italian Military Campaign during World War II seen from both fronts, the Russian and Italian. There are footages of:  interviews of Italian War Veterans (in Italy), interviews of Russian War Veterans (in Russia), interviews of civilians and townspeople from the surrounding areas of the Don River who have met Italian soldiers and an interview with Alim Morozov (a historian from Rossosh) at the places of the battlefields.

Organization

The project is directed by Aleph Film of Rome, with the sustain and advice of a group of friends and supporters.

Aleph Film coordinates the research and the shooting of the interviews.

All the interviews are shot in their original language.

Funding and Purposes

Funding

The project is self-funded by means of donations and the sales of materials to be used in commercial productions (e.g.: television networks, producers)

Aleph film is currently producing documentaries on specific themes:  "The Cold War, and how they saw it.", for RAI Educational, "The Italians of Crimea" and "Italian Communists in Stalin's Moscow".

Purposes

The project has a commercial scope (self-funding) while, sidely, maintaining a not-for-profit aspect that forsees that all materials be used freely for  study purposes.  Under this proposal, there is an agreement with the Centre Georges Pompidou, in Paris, to make the videos avialable in a navigable DVD format.
