Women and men, workers and scientists,
intellectuals, artists and government officials became the protagonists
of a single, immense laboratory. Dreams, desires and needs quickly
started to produce an original vision of life, of man and the world.
Meanings, values and concepts sometimes
appear different or even opposite of those of Western culture, forcing
the West itself - beyond what appears as a simple struggle between good
and evil - into a lengthy and profound reinterpretation of itself.
This enormous human laboratory is the
subject of EST, and especially those men and women who now, though not
for long, form its living memory.
