subject biography: Born on 1923
at Kerch. the father, a long
distance ship captain, has Italian origins.
The mother dies in 1929. Studies at Kerch,
but nine years later the school closes because of the war. He gets deported to Astana in Kazakhstan,
in the village of Atbasar, where he
lives with a local family. Then he gets transfered to Čeljabinsk,
where he works inside a metalurgical complex.
Once freed, he moves to Saratov, in the
Volga Region.
