biography:
Born In Kerch on 07/01/1916 from Italian parents. Father, in
1885, leaves Bisceglie (Ba), in Italy, and migrates to Russia, where he
marries Ms. Giannuzzi, originally from Monopoli. At Kerch they work on
farming. In 1930 he is the only one that returns to Italy
with the parents. In 1942 he enters the Italian Army and gets sent to
the Soviet front with the "Julia Alpine Division" as a translator.
His grandchildren currently live in Moscow, in Kerch and in Caucasia.
Dies at a Bisceglie (Ba) on March 27th, 2003. |
