Born in 1936 at Odessa, where his father
Bindo Regazzi, a.k.a. A.P.Canestri,
heads the Italian Club at Odessa.
Canestri gets
invited by the Italian Communist Party ("Pcd'I") to create
propaganda at the Interclub. From 1941 to 1944 Aldo and his mother
become homeless in Uzbekistan. In 1944 the family moves to Moscow
and lives at the Lux Hotel in Moscow,
the hotel where various international Communist
Directors have stayed
. After the war, they return to Italy where the father passes away in
1952. The family returns to Odessa. Aldo currently lives in Moscow. |
