Enlists at a young age to combat German invasion.
Begins as a train conductor assistant carrying tons of carbon on the
locomotives. Successively transports soldiers, the wounded and German prisoners
to and from the front. During the Battle of Stalingrad (1943)
she is able to pass under bombardments through the German front, contributing to
the city's liberation. In war gets wounded around 15 times. Receives, then,
the Order of Lenin
Decoration as an USSR heroin and numerous other awards.
In 1981 retires with an
honorable ceremony. Today maintains relationships with other veterans
by attending meetings and ceremonies. |
